T3 International Conference, Chicago - Saturday, March 10, 2007, 11:15a.m.-12:45p.m. Session #287 ANTS, Slalom, ACT SAT - New/Improved Programs for Teaching Advanced Algebra Topics with a TI-84 plus
ANTS = "Advancing kNowledge of Transformations" or "Asymptotes Need Training
Situations." This is an Algebra 2 or a review and extension topic for Calculus
students. It can be done with any calculator in the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus
family. Slalom, like ANTS, is an educational game. Students slalom a course
using higher-degree polynomials. Considering the zeros, or roots, is especially
reinforced. Other programs and APPS will also be shared and described.
