You may want to install the Nspire
fonts for Word documents to show up correctly.
- I wasn't the author of this
Scavenger Hunt exploration for the TI-Nspire Touchpad, but I enjoyed
using it a several 2010 summer workshops. It is a Word document so it can be
modified. I'm using a
modified version for the TI-Nspire CAS with my freshmen physics class.
Get to know the calculator page and some of the CAS functionality with

- Snowflake.tns is a fun file for geometry -
rotational symmetry. For more details and a video, see
blog entry. My friend, Heidi from Ohio, made the file and I make a minor
- "Gettin' the Swing" - I
like this activity for AP calc-based Physics C mechanics. It allows the
students to explore sinusoidal functions in a dynamic fashion. The activity
ends with data collection of a pendulum. The tns file provides data in case
the students collection efforts don't work out. This file was posted on
http://www.timath.com/ on Dec 18, 2008.
If you have string, duct tape, and racquet balls (and a CBR2) then collected
data worked out quite well for my students.
- ExploringLogs with TI-Nspire.doc
(78kB) I started writing this Word doc at the 2-day hands-on institute in
Indianapolis back in Sept 2007
You may need this font so that the above files look right:
- demo.tns I found this file somewhere and
modified it to explain what all the Nspire can do.
- Introducing CAS .tns -
This example file is preloaded when you install the 1.7 operating system.
The other preloads are available on the
DiscoverPowerRule.doc - worksheet to be used with a TI-Nspire CAS to
help students discover the power rule for differentiating polynomials. A
power rule CAS exploration.
